The Launch of #iFIGHTAgainstCOVID19
In an effort to reduce the risk of vulnerable populations to human trafficking and engage the younger generations in the fight against it, Voice of the Free launched the #iFIGHTAgainstCOVID19 campaign which aims to intensify the
iFIGHT Movement using creative IEC materials and expand its reach through different media platforms. The iFIGHT
Quarantips, Parenting QuaranTIPS, and iFIGHT Vlogs are being released via VF's social media accounts since late April.
Quarantips is a series of informative posts reminding the youth and parents on online safety and parenting techniques during quarantine while the iFIGHT Vlogs is a video blog series which aims to educate the youth on how to avoid dangerous situations online especially during the pandemic wherein they might spend most of their time on the internet. The latest episodes tackled trending topics such as online safety practices, quaranflings, and victim-blaming.
Meanwhile in areas of Southern and Central Mindanao wherein television and internet access are limited to nonexistent, leaving the vulnerable women and children without access to information they need. To help fill the gap, VF's radio program called Tingog sa Kagawasan (TOK) or Voice of Freedom (shown left) is airing episodes discussing relevant topics under the #iFIGHTAgainstCOVID19 campaign. Voice of the Free keeps video recordings of the program, complete with subtitles, and they can be seen on VF’s Facebook
and Instagram accounts.
