Empowering the Next Generation Child Advocates
After years of partnership with the World’s Children’s Prize Program (WCP) , VF has again completed this year’s commitment to educate and empower children about their rights, emphasizing gender equity and rights of girl children.
By the end of 2023, VF regional teams in General Santos, Bacolod, and Dumaguete mobilized nine schools and three communities, involving around 4,432 students and 88 teachers.
The program culminated in a series of Changemaker Days in each participating school and community. A highlight of these events was the Global Vote, where children voted for their 'Child Rights Hero of the Year'.
Additionally, the program featured 'My Voice for Rights and Change', showcasing speeches and placards created by students advocating for rights and change. The programs concluded with 'Round the Globe for Rights and Change', a symbolic walk around campuses and communities, uniting children in their commitment to making a positive difference in the world.
Through the WCP Program, VF is helping to cultivate a new generation of informed, empowered, and active global citizens, deeply aware of their rights and the importance of standing up for equality and justice.
