iFight Webinars Spread Like Fire in Negros Occidental Schools
The journey doesn't end here, iFighters! We are excited about future contests and programs and cannot wait to see more.
Our Negros regional office team, in partnership with the Department of Education, successfully hosted its anti-trafficking webinar series for the third straight year.
Around 200 student leaders, teachers and employees from 100 schools in Negros Occidental attended the first session on “Trafficking 101.” Resource speakers shared basic understanding about the issue and legal framework of trafficking.
On the second installment, more than 140 students and teachers who are equally represented addressed the increasing risks and vulnerabilities to Internet-related trafficking, and how young people can practice online safety measures.
On the third webinar on “Youth Volunteerism,” more than 118 students from 70 schools committed to be active advocates and support networks in their own schools.
Related to these advocacy platforms, Bacolod-based VF staff sponsored an online poster-making contest and vlogging which attracted youth participants from far-flung towns of Kabankalan, Himamaylan, La Carlota, Victorias, Sipalay and Bago.
